Abigail Kenny has been in the hearing health care industry for over 14 years beginning as a client care coordinator and then as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Alayna Rule has been in the hearing health industry for 12 years. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Western University, and her H.I.S./H.I.D. Diploma from Conestoga College. Growing up with a friend who was born with congenital hearing loss, Alayna attended several audiologist appointments with him.

Brian’s background as a professional musician, combined with a keen interest in the science of sound led him to become a Registered Hearing Aid Practitioner in 2012. Recognizing the impact of hearing loss on individuals and their families, he readily meets his clients with the skills and intuition needed for proper hearing aid selection and counselling.

Candace Sagal began her career at Beltone in her home town, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. When her heart brought her to Red Deer in early 2016, she was able to land a part-time position at the front desk in the Red Deer Office.  She quickly made the decision to attend Grant MacEwan University’s online program to become a Hearing Aid Practitioner.

Carol Conway brings nearly two decades of experience in the hearing healthcare industry to her role. Initially serving as a customer care coordinator, her deep-rooted commitment to ensuring exceptional customer experiences led her to pursue a career as a Hearing Instrument Practitioner.

Cherie's journey in hearing care began when her father, George Poitras, established the Beltone Hearing Clinic in Kelowna, B.C. during the mid-1970s. George's dedication led him to travel across the province, conducting tests and providing aid. Encouraged by him, Cherie obtained her license in the early 1990s.

Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, David graduated with distinction from MacEwan University’s Hearing Aid Practitioner Program and also earned a Diploma of Music from the same institution. His passion for music production and growing interest in audio engineering naturally led him toward a career in audiology.

Before completing her Master’s degree in Audiology, Emily earned an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from Mount Allison University. Her passion for helping others and interest in hearing health naturally led her to a rewarding career in audiology.

Heidi was born in Saskatchewan and grew up in Victoria, BC. A lover of the arts, she pursued a successful career in musical theatre performance in and around Toronto ON, where she was granted the "Triple Threat Trophy" from Randolph Academy, awarded to the college's top graduate.

Jeff began his working career as a musician. He is a founding member of Columbia Recording artists the “Queen City Kids”. He attended university and studied at the U of M in Winnipeg. He then decided to join his father’s firm in Victoria in 1991 training as hearing instrument practitioner.

Jenna has worked in the hearing healthcare industry since 2020. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in neuroscience, from Dalhousie University before she attended Conestoga College in Ontario to become a licensed Hearing Care Practitioner.

Joanne completed her B.Sc. in Biology at the University of Victoria in 2002 and the Hearing Instrument Practitioner training program from the International Hearing Society in 2007.

As a hearing aid user for over 30 years, Kathleen has first-hand experience with the advances in hearing aid technology. She can speak on the benefits of a wide variety of hearing aids and Assisted Listening Devices.

Kirk Pavlick is an actively practicing Registered Hearing Aid Practitioner in the Province of Alberta. Kirk has been with Beltone since April 1, 2015. Based in Red Deer, Kirk looks forward to working closely with his patients to improve their hearing for many years to come.

Larissa Nelson has been a practitioner with Beltone since 2013, working out of the Duncan and Nanaimo offices on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Becoming a RHIP has allowed her to combine her previous education and work in Biological Science with her desire to help people with their hearing.

I have had the privilege of working with Beltone since 2007. My favorite thing about being a Hearing Instrument Practitioner is that I get to connect with a diverse group of people everyday and provide them with the exceptional care and service they deserve.

Throughout his career, Mitchell has demonstrated a commitment to ongoing professional development, regularly attending workshops and industry conferences to stay current with advancements in hearing technology.

Rebecca Mallette started as a Hearing Care Coordinator in Iroquois several years ago. As a Thousand Islands Hearing Centre employee, Rebecca has worked in all three offices. She had the opportunity to return to school at Grant MacEwan University for the Hearing Aid Practitioner Program.

Roberta was born and raised in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island and is grateful to live here. She began her training as a hearing practitioner in 2010 through the International Hearing Society and has worked with Beltone ever since. She is passionate about ensuring those with a hearing loss understand it and know best how to navigate it.  

Being a hearing aid specialist is extremely rewarding to Shella. Seeing how hearing loss has affected the life of clients and their loved ones, and then how each appointment improves their quality of life when they hear and participate in conversations with their family and friends is wonderful.

Shivpreet Baidwan was born and raised in India and moved to Ottawa, Canada in 2004. She completed her B.Sc. in Audiology and Speech Therapy at Post graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh in India in 1998 and Hearing Instrument Practitioner program from Grant MacEwan university of Edmonton in 2008. She has been in the hearing health industry for about 21 years.

Teresa is a committed Audiologist who has been practicing for more than 30 years. She has provided hearing healthcare to both pediatric and adult clients and has done so in non-profit, hospital, educational and private practice settings. Teresa obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Linguistics from the University of Manitoba. She then obtained her Master of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
