Joanne completed her B.Sc. in Biology at the University of Victoria in 2002 and the Hearing Instrument Practitioner training program from the International Hearing Society in 2007.

Larissa Nelson has been a practitioner with Beltone since 2013, working out of the Duncan and Nanaimo offices on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Becoming a RHIP has allowed her to combine her previous education and work in Biological Science with her desire to help people with their hearing.

Roberta was born and raised in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island and is grateful to live here. She began her training as a hearing practitioner in 2010 through the International Hearing Society and has worked with Beltone ever since. She is passionate about ensuring those with a hearing loss understand it and know best how to navigate it.

Harun always wanted to do something in the health care field but didn’t know what exactly, so he enrolled in the pre-Health program in Conestoga College to get a better understanding of the field. Once he graduated from Pre-Health, he was recommended for a H.I.S program.

Nationally Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences
Megan has been in the hearing industry since 2014, becoming provincially board certified in 2016 and nationally board certified in 2020. She decided to get into the hearing care profession when she realized she was unfulfilled in her previous retail management positions. After shadowing her Doctor of Audiology cousin for a few days, she saw the difference she was making in people’s lives, and realized that this would be a very rewarding career and a great fit.

Shivpreet Baidwan was born and raised in India and moved to Ottawa, Canada in 2004. She completed her B.Sc. in Audiology and Speech Therapy at Post graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh in India in 1998 and Hearing Instrument Practitioner program from Grant MacEwan university of Edmonton in 2008. She has been in the hearing health industry for about 21 years.
