Meet Louis Kanavos, HIS

Louis Kanavos is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist and has been in the hearing industry for 16 years.  He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Windsor, a certification in Tool Making from St. Clair College, and his Hearing Instrument Specialist certification from George Brown College.

While living in Davenport, IA attending Palmer Chiropractic College in 2000, he went home for a visit and attended an appointment with his mother who has been wearing hearing aids since she was in her early 30’s.  She was treated very poorly during the appointment, and it was that moment he decided to research what being a hearing specialist was all about. He then decided to drop out of chiropractic college to become a hearing instrument specialist to help her and others with hearing difficulties.

His favorite thing about being in the hearing health care profession is making a difference in peoples lives, and helping them to hear and be part of life once again. It is his passion to help give his patients a better quality of life!

In his spare time, he is a musician and enjoys listening to music, playing the drums, and playing the guitar.
